Could prophet Muhammad make simple mistake on botany?

Musa b. Talha reported: I and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) happened to pass by people near the date-palm trees. He (the holy prophet) said: what are these people doing? They said: they are grafting, i. e. they combine the male with the female (tree) and thus they yield more fruit. Thereupon Allah's messenger (may peace be upon him) said: I do not find it to be of any use.

The people were informed about it and they abandoned this practice. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) (was later) on informed (that the yield had dwindled), whereupon he said: if there is any use of it, then they should do it, for it was just a personal opinion of mine, and do not go after my personal opinion; but when I say to you anything on behalf of Allah, then do accept it, for I do not attribute lie to Allah, the Exalted and Glorious [Sahih Muslim, Book 030, Number 5830].

Yes, absolutely. So many ignorant people consider prophet Muhammad or other prophets or messengers as their lords or at least almost their lords! But those prophets or messengers were nothing more than just human beings who can easily make simple mistake like anybody.  Allah does not reveal unseen/future to anybody. If prophets or messengers know the future no harm could inflict them. But reality is that every prophets or messengers had to struggle and suffer a lot in their lives.

Therefore, it is not unusual, if prophet Muhammad made such simple mistake on botany 1400+ years ago.

[The Quran 6:50]   Say, "I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of Allah(God). Nor do I know the future. Nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I simply follow what is revealed to me." Say, "Is the blind the same as the seer? Do you not reflect?"

[The Quran 6:59]   With Him are the keys to all secrets; none knows them except He. He knows everything on land and in the sea.  Not a leaf falls without His knowledge. Nor is there a grain in the depths of the soil. Nor is there anything wet or dry, that is not recorded in a profound record.

[The Quran 7:188]   Say, "I have no power to benefit myself, or harm myself.  Only what Allah(God) wills happens to me. If I knew the future, I would have increased my wealth, and no harm would have afflicted me. I am no more than a warner, and a bearer of good news for those who believe."

Praise be to Allah(God), the Lord of the Universe.
