Polygamy and Islam

Salam, I have different understanding about it. Does the verse [4.3] say polygamy is only permitted with orphan girls? God does not leave for our own guessing. Where God says in the holy Quran, polygamy is forbidden except with orphan girls?! My understanding about the verse [4.3] is that if someone has more than one wives and one is orphan he must be careful to deal with his orphan wife more carefully. Because the holy Quran orders us, we have to take care orphan's issues with extra care and that is why in verse [4.3] God mentions orphan women. For instance, obviously we cannot shallow anybody's property unjustly, can we?! But God gives serious warning especially if we try to gain orphan's property illicitly. [The Quran 4.10] (As for) those who swallow the property of the orphans unjustly, surely they only swallow fire into their bellies and they shall enter burning fire. Therefore, mentioning orphans in the verse [4.3] does not imply that polygamy is only applicable if orphan girls are involved. Secondly, in the verse [4:129] God says it is not possible for anyone to be 100% fair among his wives but does God say, so one cannot involve in polygamy?! Rather God says, one should try his best to be fair among his wives. And after hard trying to be fair still if it is not possible to achieve 100% Allah is forgiving, merciful. That’s my understanding so far about this subject. I never said hadith followers are wrong in every issue. Big problem is that they are not accepting that the holy Quran is the only source of religious guidance. They also respect the holy Quran very much. Many hadith followers also reject many hadith in Bukari and Muslim but surprisingly still they insist we need some hadiths! They cannot forget hadiths!! http://www.progressive-muslim.org/
3. A Muslim polygamist may simply get rid of one of his undesirable wives.
Dear Mr. Abraham, According to the Quran, polygamy is allowed only for the benefit of the orphans. The Quran discourages polygamy and the reason is given clearly. The so-called fatwa which suggests that a muslim man can marry upto four women is nothing but a myth fabricated by hypocrites, and not by God and His messenger.
[4:3] If you deem it best for the orphans, you may marry their mothers - you may marry two, three, or four. If you fear lest you become unfair, then you shall be content with only one, or with what you already have. Additionally, you are thus more likely to avoid financial hardship.
Thank you and may God guide me,
Muhammed Irtaza
