Why Bangladeshi patriotic people should oppose Jamat?

Awami league is afraid of Jamaat and similar type of misguided but dangerous so-called Islamic parties. They can create a Taliban style regime in Bangladesh if they somehow manage to get power. Hopefully Bangladeshi people will never ever allow to happen so insaAllah. You Jamaat first have to abandon all hadiths, Ijma, Kias etc. as sources of religious guidance and must declare it openly so that people know clearly what your agenda is and what you want to establish in Bangladesh. After that if still Awami league regime tries to suppress you, you could have valid reason to protest that.

We repeatedly told you hadithe etc. cannot be taken as a source of religious guidance still you want to follow some uneducated/semi-educated/ ill-educated ignorant mullahs like Maududi et al. http://www.progressive-muslim.org/Quran-alone-and-no-hadith.htm. Please let us know which point(s) in this article you oppose and why? Maybe we can learn something interesting from you. We are not blind believers; we are ready to listen you carefully if you can make some sound arguments based on the holy Quran alone.

Few days before, former Afghanistan’s president Burhanuddin Rabbani was killed by Taliban and its allies. Both Taliban and Rabbani groups are hadiths followers but world is seeing how nice brothers they are for each other! You jamaat are same like Taliban or Al-Qaeda because in principle you are not different from them. So, why Bangladeshi patriotic people should not oppose Jammat? You should answer us. Thanks and regards.

It shows how much AL is bothered by the rise of Jamaat in particular and Islam in general. This is the real picture of any ideologically bankrupt oppressive force and repressive regime. They don't believe in democracy, they don't bother world opinion, they don't think about people's welfare or suffering. They only believe in power and think about their own, selfish, interest. To hold their evil power and serve their heinous interest they can do anything, can take any action through discriminatory policies, such as human rights violationssurveillance abusepolice brutalityimprisonmentinvoluntary settlementstripping of citizen's rightslustration and violent action such as the murder, summary executionstortureforced disappearance and other extrajudicial punishment of political activistsdissidents, or general population. These are the proven common characteristics of any repressive regimes. Awami government is in all counts a prime example of autocratic/repressive regime. They have realised that the rise of Islam is the only threat that no autocracy can defeat it, once it gets a shafe. This is why they want to kill Islam inspired movement before its maturity.  This is "maran kamor". If Jamaat can stand firm on the ground and keep up the solid unity at the face of this fascist AL, by the grace of Almighty Allah, victory will embrace BJI insha'Allah. A rock solid united movement (with all other like minded parties) is the only way forward now. BJI and other like minded parties need to come together with common and popular programmes. This is the time to involve masses. As far as we are aware, people are ready. Majority of Bangladeshi people are fed up with AL government. They are angry, tired of their false promises and lies. They have seen the real picture of AL that they are want to kill democracy, they want to sell the country, they have no love for people of the country and the country itself. Therefore, people are waiting for a credible call and strong, visionary, patriotic and God fearing (uncompromising) leadership.

Cases filed against more than ten thousand workers of Jamaat: Authorities should restrain Police

Recently several cases have been filed by police  against workers of Jamaate Islami and Islami Chatra Shibir( an Islamist  student organization ), in each case thousands of persons have been implicated, some have been named and others have not been named. In Sylhet, a jamaat demonstation for release of Jamaat leaders in detention was obstructed and dispersed. there was some clashes. Then police filed cases againt five thousand people there..In Chittagong after similar incidents, Police started case against another five thousand people. Similarly after similar incidents in Dhaka , some cases have been launched by the police involving another five thousand  named and others un named persons. This has been the trend recently.Several such other cases were filed against thousands of unnamed persons and some named persons. One of these was the case of Arial Bil where local people opposed constuction of an airport. The advantage of keeping in a case  unnamed thousands is that police can haul up any body and say he is accused in that case.

Press has reported that even in  central office of Jamaate Islami, no body is there because cases have been filed against almost all leaders and to avoid arrest they are away.Ostensibly they would try for bail before being arrested. It is strange that all central leaders of Jamaate Islami  are being involved though they were not anywhere near the place of protest, damaging of some transports.Hundreds of transports were damaged in Hartals and demonstations  of Awami League , even of BNP, but central leaders of these parties were not involved, nor their central leaders were arrested or their central offices were raided. We fail to  to understand this victimization of Jamaate Islami.

Some Awami League leaders are demanding banning of Jamaate Islami for no good reason at all.Did they demand such banning of Awami league when their activists clashed in the past with police and vandalized property? This is simply untenable in democracy. We have a bigger question. Why thousands of persons would be involved in such cases and why ninety percent or more names are un named. We believe there is something wrong in this. The law Ministry, the Judiciary and national leaders should take steps to curb such powere of the police.Similarly remand in police custody and arrest under section 54 of Cr.P.C.require total overhaul.Their continuous abuse proves that change is necessary.
