Did prophet Muhammad become frightened for observing Sun eclipsing?

Narrated Abu Musa: The sun eclipsed and the Prophet got up, being afraid that it might be the Hour (i.e. Day of Judgment). He went to the Mosque and offered the prayer with the longest Qiyam, bowing and prostration that I had ever seen him doing. Then he said, "These signs which Allah sends do not occur because of the life or death of somebody, but Allah makes His worshipers afraid by them. So when you see anything thereof, proceed to remember Allah, invoke Him and ask for His forgiveness."[Sahih Bukhari Volume 2, Book 18, Number 167]

This hadith claims that prophet Muhammad was frightened for sun eclipsing and he was assuming that resurrection day was starting! It also claims that Allah makes His worshipers afraid by Sun eclipse! After understanding the real reason of sun eclipsing do modern Muslims afraid by Sun eclipse!? What about hadith followers and what hadith followers comment on their this authentic hadith?!

Being a Quran follower of course I do not believe this statement made by prophet Muhammad. Many hadiths could be historically true and can be a good source of Islamic history but never can be the part of religious guidance as per the holy Quran.

I do not believe that this hadith is even historically true. Either some story tellers invented it in the name of prophet or some worst enemies of Islam fabricated in the name of Prophet Muhammad to tarnish the image of Islam.

As we modern people know, solar eclipse is a spectacular natural phenomenon and for nothing to be afraid of. A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and the Earth so that the Sun is wholly or partially obscured.

Prophet Muhammad received the holy Quran from Allah(God), the Lord of the universe. Nowhere in the holy Quran it is indicating that during prophet Muhammad's lifetime there was any possibility of resurrection day could be occurred. Therefore, being a strict follower of the holy Quran prophet Muhammad could not be afraid of observing the Sunís eclipse.

[The holy Quran 45:6-7] These are GOD's revelations that we recite to you truthfully.  In which Hadith other than GOD and His revelations do they believe? Woe to every fabricator, guilty.

It is very interesting to mention that the ancient book holy Quran even does not mention about Sunís eclipse. Though that time and even before discovering and understanding the Sun eclipse, there were many superstitions prevailed in human history.

But it is extremely amazing that holy Quran never makes any mistake in this regard though it was revealed 1400+ years ago. This is another powerful indication that the holy Quran(Koran) indeed comes from the Lord of the universe.

Praise be to Allah (God), the Lord of the Universe.
